***** VERY IMPORTANT: While every effort is made to
produce the Book/Cover that best captures the authors vision, due to
the very subjective nature of this type of work, that is not always
possible. In hiring a designer, (i.e. Jorgedelarastudios.com) the
author, named above, relinquishes final control of the artistic
aesthetics of the final design of the book product to the artists
talents and experience, the reason JDS was selected by this author.

* 25.00 proof fee will be included into your
estimate.Book design services are based on a flat fee plus
any adjustments to the design the author may request.
Pay schedule
is: A 50% Non-refundable deposit/Retainer is required to begin project.
25% due at 3/4
of project, (determined by number pages. Example: payment due when
page 75 of a 100 page book is approved, adjusted accordingly to each
projects page count.)
Final balance due when last page is
approved/completed.
Cover Designs only, 100% Pre-Paid or with a
50% Deposit - Balance due upon completion. (Prior approval
required)
*** FINAL PDF and ALL original files will be
turned over to the author once final payment in received. Work will
be provided on CD and sent by mail or emailed to client directly. That includes ALL working computer files, Photoshop images,
scans or hard illustrations, etc.
** I take great pride in my work, to insure each
author that the best possible efforts and maximum talents have been
used for to produce their work, a book/cover design credit to
jorgedelarastudios.com or artist Jorge Delara must be placed
somewhere on the books credits page. (Usually in small type on the
bottom of the inside title page or credits/copyrights page, author
can decide exactly where it's placed.)
By providing all the information above, work can be
performed on a timely basis. Moving forward at a professional working pace, a 64 page
book should take no longer than 15 to 20 working days to complete,
with all going as planned. The entire project must be completed
within forty-five days or additional costs or fees may apply.
Exceptions can be made to cover acts of God, illnesses or
circumstances beyond the control of the author or artist, the artist
reserves complete discretion as to what delays are acceptable.
